CH Jennella’s Bras D’Or   CDX, WC,FD,TT (Shannon) was a wonderful introduction to the breed. Together we earned Top Canadian Obedience Toller in 1987 and set a new high point total. I always thought conformation people were crazy, but by the time Shannon was two he was a champion with group and booster wins. To prove his hunting heritage we earned a field title.I met my future husband Ted Anderson while walking Shannon. Ted introduced me to flyball and we ran in competition for nine years. I had no plans to get into breeding, but when Shannon was approached  for stud service we did that too. We participated in breed displays, did obedience demos in malls and nursing homes and at sportsman shows. It was Shannon’s friendly personality and can do attitude that helped set my kennel standards.

Landsend Kennel takes its name from a translation of a Mi’kmaq Indian word for the Yarmouth region of Nova Scotia.

As a breeder, I want to share the joy this breed has given me.

“I strive to produce the most loving, healthiest, intelligent and beautiful dog you will ever own.”

Landsend dogs have continued to title in obedience, show, and in the field, but also as Canine Good Citizens, in rally obedience, agility, dock diving, and herding. They have appeared in displays, books, magazines and newspaper articles, but foremost are cherished family members. I have received referrals from satisfied dog owners, dog clubs, other breeders, veterinarians and pet supply stores.

I held positions on the genetics, historical and library committees and conducted breed health and grading surveys. I’ve assisted in obedience classes, ran the Shurgain Obedience Challenge and stewarded at obedience and conformation shows. My kennel has supported the development of breed specific health tests. I continue to expaned my knowledge of dogs and their care.
